Medical Physics: Graduation Requirements

Master of Science, major in Radiological Sciences
A minimum of 48 quarter hours of required courses, including research, is required for the Master of Science degree with a major in radiological sciences. Of these, a minimum of 18 quarter hours of medical physics courses, excluding research, is required. A minor is not necessary in this program. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. The maximum amount of medical physics credit acceptable for transfer from another institution is 12 quarter hours. There is no foreign language requirement. The time limit for completing the program is five years.

Doctor of Philosophy
A minimum of 40 quarter hours of medical physics courses (excluding research) must be completed successfully. Additionally, at least 18 quarter hours of minor course credit are required. A total of 150 quarter hours of academic credit is required for the PhD degree. A maximum of 60 quarter hours of transfer credit will be accepted. There is no foreign language requirement.
