The student must complete all required courses except for those waived by the Graduate committee and have completed the minimally required course hours as detailed above. For the master's degree, the student's advisor and the Graduate College Program Director must approve the student's thesis. For the doctoral degree, the student's committee must approve the dissertation. In addition to these requirements, all PhD candidates will be required to attend at least four ethics seminars/year following completion of their first academic year in order to ensure ongoing training.
