PMR 781 Research in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Students may arrange research rotations individually with faculty at Rush. In order to receive credit for such a rotation, the person to whom the student will be responsible must write a letter describing the student's activities, responsibilities, amount of supervision, and the specific dates of the rotation. Credit toward graduation is granted assuming that the research project is ongoing throughout the academic year. [4 weeks]
PMR 791 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
An introduction to the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, including the care of patients with disabilities due to strokes, spinal cord injuries, head trauma, amputations, movement disorders, and arthroplasties, etc. In addition, students will be expected to observe, understand, and learn what services are provided by allied health professional staff, and when it is appropriate to prescribe these services. Prerequisites: none. FA WI SP SU [2 or 4 weeks]
