Inappropriate Degree Usage Policy

A student should not refer to him/herself as having earned a specific degree until:

1. all degree requirements have been successfully completed,
2. a completed Degree Approval form has been submitted to the Office of the Registrar, and
3. the official date of graduation for a particular quarter has been reached.

A student who disregards this policy will be referred to the committee that addresses professional ethics violations for that student's program or college.
